Introduction
The mission of the department is to equip students with core and professional competencies in the fields of accounting, auditing, and taxation. Students will learn how to develop a global view of the world, professional dedication, a good sense of responsibility and teamwork, professional ethics, as well as effective communication skills. Graduates of the department are competent for the accounting profession in accounting firms, business corporations, government agencies, and non-profit organizations.
The department (paid) internship program offers students the opportunity to establish core and professional competencies required in their career development and gain competitive advantages at work. Qualified students are selected and assigned to approved Certified Public Accountant (CPA) firms to do accounting, auditing, or taxation practices for the whole senior year of university. Students would register for several courses and acquire credits of courses after successful completion of the internship.
